Orthopaedic and Soft Tissue Surgery

Orthopaedic Surgeries

Orthopaedic surgery encompasses any surgery that is related to bones or joints. It includes procedures such as fracture repairs, ligament repairs and spinal surgery. We have a fully equipped surgical suite that allows us to perform a variety of orthopaedic surgical procedures that your pet may require. These may include:

  • Cranial cruciate ligament repair
  • Fracture (broken bone) repair
  • Amputations for severe injuries or bone cancer cases
  • Luxating Patellas

In our orthopaedic procedures and major operations, your pet's comfort is our priority. All of our patients receive a pain pack which includes a local pain relief in the joint, a morphine drip post-operatively, a slow releasing opiod patch over the following three days, and anti-inflammatory medication to keep them pain free and happy.

Soft-Tissue Surgeries

Soft-Tissue Surgery encompasses any surgery relating to the skin. It includes procedures such as lump removals and reconstructions. Our team of skilled veterinarians have tackled lumps that have come in a range of sizes, from benign tiny warts to large malignant tumors. Some of these lumps include:

  • Lipoma - A benign fat filled lump that can grow large and impact on a dogs movement
  • Melanoma - A malignant skin cancer thats seen in people
  • Mast Cell Tumor - A skin cancer that ranges from low to highly malignant and invasive
  • Soft-Tissue Sarcoma - A malignant fast growing tumor that is locally invasive
